Searching ePIC

To carry out a search, do the following

1) Enter a scientific (Latin) plant name into the data entry box. In this release of ePIC, you can enter a genus name on its own, or a genus and species. Do not include authors. You can use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard to truncate a name, provided that you enter at least 3 letters before the wildcard.

Examples: Quercus, Que*, Quercus vulgaris, Quercus vul*, Que* vul*

2) Select the data source categories you want to search. If you want to know more about the data sources, select 'Data Sources' from the menu bar or click on the data source category names.

3) Press the 'Search' button
